NMSU names EPE Team Member and Head of IT, Gary Bruner, as Outstanding Alumni 2020
El Paso Electric (EPE) congratulates Gary Bruner, who was named as New Mexico State University’s Agricutural Economics and Agricultural Business Outstanding Alumni 2020.
Gary graduated from NMSU with a BS and MS in Agricultural Business and Agricultural Economics. It was here where his fascination with technology as well as leadership skills were developed. His current role at EPE is Senior Director of Information Technology and Information Security.
His nearly 30-year career at EPE includes roles as Load Forecaster, Security Administrator,
Network Engineer, and Information Technology Operations Manager. Prior to EPE, he worked
as a Research Assistant for NMSU’s Agricutural Economics and Agricultural Business department and as an Economist for the Texas Milk Market Administrator’s Office.
Beyond the workplace, Gary has always been an active member of the Paso del Norte region. His dedication to the community includes membership and former presidency of the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of El Paso, graduating with the 2015 Leadership Las Cruces program, and coaching youth and high school girls’ soccer for nearly 15 years.
